Terms of Service
Welcome to Coherent Comedy. By using this website (coherentcomedy.com) you agree to these terms and conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or submit our forms.
1. About us
Coherent Comedy is a monthly online comedy night. This website provides information about our shows, links to tickets and merch, and forms for contacting us or applying to perform.
2. Use of this website
- You may browse the site for personal, non-commercial use.
- Do not misuse the site, attempt to disrupt it, or submit spam or abusive content.
- External links (for example Eventbrite, Ko-fi, social platforms, or merch shops) are operated by third parties and have their own terms and privacy practices.
3. Performer bookings and show content
- Applying via the booking form does not guarantee a performance slot. We receive many applications and may not be able to reply to everyone.
- Our shows are run online (for example via Zoom) and may be streamed (for example via Twitch). By applying, you confirm you are comfortable with that format as described on the booking form.
- We may release edited shows as a podcast and may use short clips for social media promotion, subject to the permissions you give on the booking form.
- You remain responsible for your own material. Do not submit or perform content that is unlawful or that infringes someone else’s rights.
4. Tickets, donations, and merch
Tickets, donations, and merchandise may be handled by third-party platforms. Any purchase, refund, or payment terms are those of the relevant provider, not these website terms alone.
5. Privacy and personal data
We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies on this site, and we do not use browser sessions to keep you logged in. We only collect personal details when you choose to send them to us.
That happens when you use:
- the contact form (typically name, email, and message); or
- the performer booking form (name/pronouns, contact details, social handles if provided, availability, act information, and related permissions).
Form submissions are processed by our hosting provider (Netlify Forms) and are used so site managers can read your enquiry or booking application and respond by email or your preferred contact method. We keep submissions only as long as needed to handle your request and run the show, then delete or archive them when they are no longer required.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share it with service providers who help us operate the site (such as form hosting/email delivery) or where we are legally required to do so.
If you want us to update or delete information you sent us, contact us via the contact form and we will help where we can.
6. Cookies
This website does not set its own cookies for tracking, advertising, or login sessions. Essential technical cookies may be set by our hosting platform or by third-party sites you visit through our links; those are outside our direct control.
7. Intellectual property
Site content (including branding, copy, and imagery we publish) belongs to Coherent Comedy or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse it commercially without permission. Performers retain rights in their own material, subject to any permissions granted for podcast or promotional use.
8. Disclaimer
The site is provided as-is for information about our comedy night. We try to keep details accurate, but show times, line-ups, and external links can change. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its contents.
9. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms or your data can be sent through our contact form.
